WEED-IT has also been adopted to other applications away from the farming industry.
- Systems have been installed to control weeds along railroads and streets and on airport runways.
- Highrail trucks have been adopted to carry WEED-IT booms targeting only weeds on the rail.
- Streetsweepers have been retro fitted to accommodate the WEED-IT sensors to spray just the weeds present in the cracks of gutters and pavements.
- Many major airports in USA now run WEED-IT sensors to control weeds on service roads and the tarmac.
